Autumn Leaves
Yellow
Golden
Rust-colored,
Green
Scattering the ground
It’s time for fall, they cry
The air will cool
The sun will rest in a bed of clouds,
The birds will spread their wings
And fly north
As the scorching heat
Gives way to a sweet, cool breeze.
Children will play,
Jumping
Into the leaves
Into a pile of us,
Say the leaves.
And the world will be full of Smiles,
Joy,
And Love.
